Microsoft Image Resizer PowerToy
Microsoft PowerToys offers a growing number of useful tools that make managing images easier. One of these is image resizer, which integrates directly with File Explorer and allows you to resize photos in bulk.
Microsoft Image ResizerPowerToy is a free application software download that lets you standardize the size of your pictures without worrying about losing image quality. It offers a variety of sizing options and works on most operating systems.
It’s also a great way to make sure your photos don’t take up too much space when emailing them or sharing them online. You can resize your pictures to a small, medium or large image in a few clicks and you can even set custom sizes.
How to Use it
To resize your pictures, first install the program and then enable it in the Windows shell. Then right-click on one or more files in your File Explorer or desktop and select Resize from the context menu.
Then you’ll see a settings screen (Figure C) that allows you to resize your pictures to one of the predefined small, medium or large options or to a custom resolution. It also lets you choose the encoding method and change naming parameters.
If you don’t want to create copies of your original photos, you can check the box labeled “Make pictures smaller but not larger” or “Resize the original picture (don’t create copies).” You can also decide if you’d like to ignore the orientation of your pictures.
